Getting around

 

The Main Menu on the FrontPage is where you will find links to all of the pages on this wiki.  Simply click on the link and away you go. Click on the "FrontPage" link on the page or the one located on the upper right corner of the wiki  to get to the main page. To see who has contributed and what's been updated on an individual page, click on "Page history." You can also look at "Recent wiki activity" on the lower right corner of the wiki. 

 

Adding comments

 

Type your comments in the blank box below "Add a comment" and then click the "Add comment" button.

 

Editing a page

 

To edit a page, click on "Edit" at the top of the page.  There is an editing toolbar that you can use it to format or make changes just like you would with a Word document.  Save your changes by clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. Easy! To find pages, click on "Pages & Files" on the upper right corner of the wiki. Locate the page on the list and click on the "Edit" button underneath the name of the page.

 

Creating a page

 

Click on "Create a page" located on the upper right corner of the wiki. Type the name of your page in the blank box and click "Create page". Then start adding your content. Don't forget to click the "Save" button when you're finished. Now that you have a page, you'll want to add a link to it so that others can find it (see below).

 

Linking to a new page

 

How will anyone see your great content if you don't link it to the wiki? To link your page, go to the FrontPage and click "Edit page."  Scroll down to the Main Menu and type the name of your page into the list of links. (Make sure you have added it in alphabetical order.) Highlight the name and click on the "Link" button in the toolbar at the top of the page. The "Insert Link" window will open. Use the drop-down box to select "PBWiki Page" from Link Type. Use the drop-down box to select the name of your new page from "Page." Click the "Ok" button. Click the "Save" button, and then test to see if the link works. If it doesn't, please refrain from banging your head repeatedly on your desk.

 

Linking to an Internet site or e-mail

 

Use the "Insert/Edit Link" button in the toolbar to link to an internet site or an e-mail address. Just use the drop-down box to select URL or E-Mail.

 

Uploading files

 

This wiki has 2 GB of storage space. To see how much space is available, check the storage meter on the "Pages & Files" page. Click the "Upload files" link in the upper right corner of the wiki. On the files page, click the "Upload files" button. Click “Browse” to find the file on your computer, and click "Open"-- the file should automatically upload.  After uploading, the file will appear at the top of the list of files. Files can be found on the "Pages & Files" page under "All Files". See below to learn how to move a file to a folder.

 

Creating folders

 

To create a folder, click on "Pages & Files" in the upper right corner of the wiki. Go to "Folders" on the lower left corner and click on the "add" button. Name your new folder. To add a file to a folder, click on "All Files" located on the "Pages & Files" page. Select the file you want to move by clicking the box beside it. Click the "Move" button. The "Choose a Folder" window will open. Select your folder and click "Move".
